When a journalist friend messaged me recently for help understanding the ways food choices affect mood, it seemed a good moment to answer publicly.
This is obviously a huge topic, and one of my specialties in clinical practice. I co-taught a four-hour course on this a few years ago for practitioners — and that was just enough time to scratch the surface. So yes, this geek has ideas about the impact of food choices on mental health.
